What is your job at 3R?
I joined the 3R team in 2021 as an assistant management accountant, where my responsibilities revolve around overseeing the cash flowing in and out of the business. From ensuring recruiters and their contractors get paid on time with 100% accuracy, to answering any queries regarding payment from recruiters to keep their cash flowing; as part of the Accounts team, I'm responsible for all things finance that help minimise disruptions for our clients.
I'm currently working towards achieving my CIMA qualifications, and I've got the support of the 3R team backing me all the way.
How did you get into recruitment?
My background has largely been in Finance, having held positions such as Credit Controller at PWC, Accounts Receivables Assistant at tech firm Taylor Made Technologies, and more; this experience has been crucial to my current role.
I really value my current work environment at 3R. It's friendly, and I have more autonomy in my role. I feel heard and supported by the team, which allows me to confidently work with our recruiters and continuously learn more about the industry through them.
What do you enjoy most about the Recruitment industry?
I enjoy how fast-paced the industry is, meaning no two days are the same, I get to meet lots of different types of people, and experience different challenges and then learn how to solve them, which helps us grow as a business.
What's the most inspiring part of your job?
As I work closely with our clients to resolve any issues and answer their queries, so one of the most inspiring parts of my job is being able to find solutions that keep their cash flowing smoothly and their contractors and end-clients happy. As a result, I have developed strong relationships with our clients, and it is always gratifying to receive positive feedback from them.
And ultimately, when working in Finance, one of the most satisfying parts of your job is when the numbers add up!
What gets you out of bed every day?
My alarm! 😄
I enjoy my job and the team I'm working with, which makes it much easier to do my job.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was…
Rich - I have a taste for the good life, food, and expensive hobbies.
What do you get up to at the weekend?
I do a lot of sports, so I spend a lot of time staying active- badminton, football, paddleboarding.
I also love spending time with friends and family whether that be at a pub garden or going on an adventure.
You are planning a holiday with an unlimited budget, what are you going to do?
I would go everywhere, do everything and make it last a lifetime! If I had to pick some bucket list trips, I'd say:
- Japan - I really want to go snowboarding out there, and I want to explore the big cities and do lots of inner-city activities,
- Maldives - I would love to eat in the underwater restaurant and go snorkelling.
